Friendly Visitor:
The Friendly Visitor Program provides “social visits” by screened and trained volunteer to homebound seniors. The purpose of this free program is to alleviate the loneliness and isolation of America’s seniors.
Also, the visitor provides information about community resources available to seniors to help retain their independence as long as they choose.
Seniors who are 60 years of age and over, homebound (no longer driving), and able to interact socially are matched with volunteers based upon shared interests, personality and geography.
