NFCSP sitter service:
One of the components of the National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP), is the in-home sitter services or in-home respite care section.
Through the NFCSP respite program, caregivers of older relatives are able to request in-home sitter services for a senior who is not able to travel to adult day care
The NFCSP individual sitter service/respite program program is not available in all areas. It depends on what your local Area Agency on Aging requests and designates the Federal Government’s Administration on Aging funds for.
Check our nationwide search first, to see what types of NFCSP caregiver services are available in your area. If the sitter service/respite program is not available to you, call your local Area Agency on Aging and ask for help.
