Today, more than two in five Americans in the labor force are age 40 or older and 21% of the workforce is over 50. ASSETS (Senior Employment Opportunities Program) is a version of the SCSEP Program. ASSETS has successfully matched employers with mature workers since 1969.
At no cost to the employer, ASSETS recruits, screens and trains a mature worker to an organization’s needs. ASSETS provides follow-up job assistance for a full year after the worker is hired.
For the Employee
ASSETS Senior Employment Opportunities Program offers FREE job placement and training services to seniors. Seniors can earn minimum wage while getting the training needed to make the transition to full or part-time jobs outside of the program.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for ASSETS Senior Employment Opportunities Program a senior must:
Be 55 or older
Meet income guidelines.

Classroom training in early childhood education, computer literacy, customer service, general office procedures, keyboarding, and interpersonal communication
